Hid Miguel is a Brazilian guitarist, composer, arranger, and educator whose relationship with music is deeply tied to identity, memory, and cultural transmission. He has been playing music since the age of 12 and studied in Brazil at Souza Lima University and the Groove School of Music Conservatory.
Throughout his career, Hid has worked across a wide range of styles, from samba and bossa nova to pop and electronic music, mainly as a composer, arranger, and session guitarist for other artists, including collaborations with well-known Brazilian singers. He has released one solo album, and his artistic core remains firmly rooted in Brazilian music.
For Hid, music is not entertainment alone, it is a way of existing, representing history, and connecting cultures.

Hid’s approach to teaching is clear and deeply musical:
You must sing everything you play
If you say you know something, you should know it in all keys
If your practice doesn’t sound like music, something is wrong
Music is a language — learn it with people who speak it
Silence and pauses are as important as notes
