About Arthur
Arthur Scarpini is a Brazilian guitarist, composer, and music educator from Minas Gerais, now based in São Paulo. His work blends the rich traditions of Brazilian guitar with jazz, drawing inspiration from the harmonic language of Clube da Esquina, Brazilian songwriting, and Afro-Brazilian rhythms. A graduate of Souza Lima/Berklee College of Music, Arthur received a Latin GRAMMY Foundation scholarship for four consecutive years. He has performed at leading venues including Sesc Pompeia, Blue Note São Paulo, Bourbon Street, and JazzB. He has collaborated with artists such as Toninho Horta, Matu Miranda, Yuri Popoff, Marina Peralta, and Guilherme Rondon, and in 2025 joined American saxophonist Hillai Govreen on her Brazilian tour. Arthur teaches students worldwide, specializing in Brazilian guitar. His lessons focus on Brazilian right-hand techniques, Afro-Brazilian rhythms, harmony, improvisation, and the musical language of Clube da Esquina and Brazilian instrumental music. His educational content has reached over 100,000 views across social media, where he has built a community of nearly 10,000 followers.
